Safety on Spark
What we do, and what you can do. Every report here is read by a person.
Report someone
Open any profile or conversation and choose Report. It goes straight to the moderation queue with the messages attached, so a moderator sees the context rather than just the complaint.
Block someone
Blocking is immediate and works both ways: you disappear from each other's decks, and any conversation between you closes. They are not told.
Control who sees you
Turn off discovery in Settings and your profile leaves every deck while your existing matches stay. Nobody can find you by searching.
Reviewed photos
Every photo is checked by a moderator before it can appear to anyone else. A rejected photo never leaves your own profile page.
Meeting people safely
- Meet somewhere public the first few times, and tell someone where you are going.
- Keep chatting on Spark until you are comfortable — moving to another app early is a common scam opener.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you have not met. No exceptions.
- Trust the feeling that something is off. You never owe anyone a reply, and blocking needs no explanation.
